Khojaly:During a visit to Khojaly, Professor Timur Gltekin from Ankara University expressed the ongoing sorrow faced by families affected by war’s aftermath. Speaking to journalists, he emphasized the enduring nature of war’s consequences even after the cessation of hostilities, highlighting the sadness engendered by meeting those who continue to suffer.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, Professor Gltekin underscored the responsibility of leaders and politicians to consider the potential outcomes of war when making future decisions. He pointed out the challenges involved in destabilizing a region and the subsequent efforts required for recovery.
In related activities, participants of the 4th international conference on “Strengthening Trust and Developing Effective Mechanisms in Addressing the Issue of Missing Persons,” organized under the “Baku Dialogue” initiative and managed by the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, visited the Khojaly Memorial Complex as part of their agenda in Karabakh.
