Baku:The third workshop of the Partner Capacity Coherence Initiative – 2026 and the Self-Evaluation Level 1 (SEL 1) exercise, part of the Partnership for Peace programme between Azerbaijan and NATO, commenced with an opening ceremony in Baku, as reported by the Ministry of Defense to APA.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the event was attended by servicemen from the Azerbaijan Army and partner countries. Participants will engage in sessions focused on planning and executing training within the Military Decision-Making Process, utilizing a peace support operation scenario aligned with NATO standards.
The importance of these training activities was highlighted, noting their role in improving readiness for peace support operations, enhancing interoperability, and promoting the exchange of experience.
The Self-Evaluation Level 1 (SEL 1) exercise will involve the peacekeeping battalion and military police company that are part of the NATO Operational Capabilities Concept (OCC) Pool of Forces. This exercise will include inspections of military vehicles, supplies, and equipment, as well as an evaluation of their capability to carry out tactical tasks during peace support operations.
