Ilia Darchiashvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia held a phone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, APA’s Georgian bureau reports citing Georgian MFA.
Noted that Ilia Darchiashvili congratulated Hakan Fidan on his appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye and wished him success in his work.

“During the phone conversation, the ministers reaffirmed their readiness to further strengthen the strategic partnership between Georgia and Türkiye, and the importance of high-level visits between the two countries was emphasized,” noted in the information of the Georgian Foreign Ministry said.
Ilia Darchiashvili thanked his Turkish counterpart for the support given to Georgia’s territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic integration.
During the conversation, the importance of the cooperation between the two countries in terms of the positive development of the peace processes in the region and the stable and sustainable development of the region was emphasized.
The FMs positively assessed the work of the Georgia-Türkiye-Azerbaijan trilateral format. The ministers expressed their readiness to hold a trilateral meeting.
According to the information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ilia Darchiashvili invited Hakan Fidan to visit Georgia.
