Heydar Aliyev Foundation Hosts Charity Event for Chinese Children with Special Needs

Beijing: The Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in China organized a charity campaign for children with special needs undergoing treatment at the Beijing Children’s Welfare Institute.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event aimed to support the education of children with physical and mental disabilities by donating specialized educational equipment based on artificial intelligence (AI). The initiative is part of the Foundation’s broader commitment to humanistic principles, as championed by the National Leader of Azerbaijan.

During the event, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to China, Bunyad Huseynov, underscored the historic contributions of National Leader Heydar Aliyev to the Azerbaijani people. He recalled that in 1991, Azerbaijan, after restoring its state independence, faced the threat of losing it. The people saw Heydar Aliyev as the only leader capable of steering the nation through those challenging times, ultimately saving the Republic from collapse.

The diplomat further highlighted Heydar Aliyev’s wisdom, determination, and political acumen, which led to a fundamental transformation across all sectors in Azerbaijan. Heydar Aliyev’s initiatives, including the restoration of the ancient Silk Road and the development of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum oil and gas pipelines, have fortified Azerbaijan’s independence.

Ambassador Huseynov also emphasized the significant role of Heydar Aliyev in raising a political successor to continue his legacy. He noted that under President Ilham Aliyev, the worthy successor, Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty have been restored, and its international standing has grown considerably.

The diplomat concluded by highlighting the importance both Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev have placed on advancing Azerbaijan-China relations, elevating them to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
