President Ilham Aliyev Highlights Azerbaijan’s Commitment to Multiculturalism in Letter to Pope Leo XIV


Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has emphasized the importance of ethnic and religious diversity in Azerbaijan, describing it as a national treasure. In a congratulatory letter to Pope Leo XIV on the occasion of the anniversary of his election, President Aliyev highlighted the strong and growing relations between Azerbaijan and the Holy See, which are founded on mutual respect and understanding.



According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev noted the positive trajectory of these relations, which aim to promote interfaith harmony and cultural diversity on a global scale. He stressed that Azerbaijan is recognized as a center of multiculturalism worldwide and that the nation takes pride in creating equal conditions for all religious confessions. The president expressed satisfaction with the environment of mutual trust between civilizations, underscoring Azerbaijan’s commitment to fostering an atmosphere of kindness and mutual understanding among people of different faiths.
