Tashkent: A delegation from the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) has made significant strides in enhancing cooperation with the Uzbekistan Football Association during a recent visit. The delegation, including key figures such as AFFA Secretary General’s Advisor Orkhan Hasanov, Chairman of the Referees Committee Rahim Hasanov, and others, engaged with Uzbek counterparts to explore avenues of collaboration in the realm of football.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the AFFA delegation toured various football infrastructure facilities and engaged with experts to exchange insights. Key discussions were held with Ravshan Irmatov, the First Vice-President of Uzbekistan Football Association, where both parties considered strategies to exchange experience and embark on joint initiatives. The dialogue placed particular emphasis on the fields of refereeing, youth referee training, and enhancing professional standards within the sport.
Further discussions delved into the digital transformation of football. Both sides looked into implementing modern IT solutions, data management systems, and nurturing youth and grassroots football. At the meeting’s conclusion, the parties expressed a commitment to intensify their cooperation and roll out joint projects moving forward.
