Taiyrbek Zhumashbek uulu wins bronze medal at World Wrestling Championships

Kyrgyz athlete Taiyrbek Zhumashbek uulu won a bronze medal at the World Wrestling Championships in Serbia. The tournament started in Belgrade on September 16. The Kyrgyz wrestler competed in the weight category up to 61 kg, where he started from the 1/8 finals. Zhumashbek uulu won against a wrestler from Azerbaijan in the first fight, and then defeated the Turkish wrestler. An athlete from Kyrgyzstan fought against an American wrestler and lost to him in the fight for reaching the final. Zhumashbek uulu fought for the bronze medal on September 17. His opponent was a representative of Japan. The Kyrgyzstani won with a score of 2:1 and won a bronze medal at the World Championship. This medal was the first for Kyrgyzstan at the tournament in Serbia and the 20th in the history of the country.
