Azerbaijan Declares Three-Day Break for Victory Day Celebrations

Baku: Azerbaijan will observe three consecutive non-working days this year to mark Victory Day over Fascism, according to APA reports. Victory Day, commemorated on May 9, falls on a Saturday this year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, under the provisions of the Labor Code, when weekly rest days coincide with public holidays, the day off is transferred to the next working day. Consequently, since May 10 is a Sunday, May 11 will also be a designated non-working day.

As a result, Azerbaijanis will enjoy a three-day break with no work scheduled on May 9, 10, and 11.
