More Than 182 Billion Cubic Meters of Gas Transported Via Southern Gas Corridor

Baku: More than 182 billion cubic meters of gas have been transported via the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) to date, as reported by APA-Economics, citing the Ministry of Energy. Today marks the 7th anniversary of the official launch of this significant energy infrastructure.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Southern Gas Corridor is a major global energy project that plays a significant role in ensuring the energy security of Europe and regional countries. The project facilitates the delivery of natural gas extracted as part of Shah Deniz Stage 2 to regional and European nations.

The Southern Gas Corridor relies on a network of pipelines, including the South Caucasus Pipeline, the Trans-Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP), and the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), to transport gas. These pipelines collectively ensure the smooth transit of natural gas across various regions, bolstering energy supply and security.
