Kassym-Jomart Tokayev meets with President of Germany at Akorda

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Akorda. Tokayev met his foreign colleague in the large hall of Akorda, the presidential press service notes. The German delegation also got acquainted with representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kazakhstan. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Frank-Walter Steinmeier discussed the state and prospects for the development of the Kazakh-German strategic partnership. The parties paid special attention to strengthening the political dialogue, deepening cooperation in trade, economic, investment, energy, transport and logistics areas. The importance of intensifying interaction within the framework of the development of the Trans-Caspian international transport route, expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of oil and gas, “green” energy and industry was emphasized. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Frank-Walter Steinmeier exchanged views on topical issues of the international and regional agenda. The sides reached agreement on building up cooperation in a number of areas of the bilateral economic agenda.
