Baku:Students from the HES-SO University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland recently visited the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ). This visit was part of an intensive training and internship program organized in collaboration with the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the students had the opportunity to tour the SOFAZ Tower and its museum. They participated in an informative session led by representatives of the Fund.
During the session, Aytaj Huseynli, a Specialist in the Strategic Communications Division, provided insights into the Fund’s activities, mission, and its role in Azerbaijan’s economic development. Fuad Isgandarov, a Senior Trader in the Investment Department, presented on SOFAZ’s asset management strategies. Additionally, Rufat Ismayilov, Lead Analyst in the Strategic Projects Department, discussed production sharing agreements and the Fund’s involvement in strategic projects. Aysel Sadigli, Senior Specialist in the same department, elaborated on the educational projects funded by SOFAZ and their impact on human capital development.
The visit concluded with a question-and-answer session where the Fund’s staff addressed queries from the students.
