Azerbaijan Launches Digital Public Finance Information System

Baku:Azerbaijan has initiated the implementation of the Digital Public Finance Information System, a move aimed at digitalizing public financial management. This was announced by Finance Minister Sahil Babayev during the “Digital Financial Ecosystem A New Stage in Governance” conference held in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the system’s implementation follows a decree by President Ilham Aliyev and involves the activation of various components and subcomponents within the current year.

Minister Babayev emphasized that the goal is to integrate public financial services into a unified electronic portal and digital ecosystem, rather than digitalizing them separately. The new system is designed to enable data-driven decision-making, forecasting, and analysis. It also aims to connect various subsystems and interlink data, thereby enhancing public financial policy implementation.

Significant progress has been reported in several areas regarding the system’s implementation, showcasing the ongoing development of Azerbaijan’s digital financial infrastructure.
