Samarkand:An exhibition titled ‘The World Through a Child’s Eyes’ was organized in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, as part of the World Summit on Investing in Children’s Well-being A Path to Sustainable and Equitable Development for Future Generations. Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, attended the exhibition on October 22.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the exhibition highlights Uzbekistan’s reforms in maternal and child healthcare, education, rehabilitation, inclusion, and child rights protection. It features 13 thematic sections and interactive zones, charting a child’s development from birth to independent adulthood. The exhibition underscores initiatives aimed at protecting children’s health in early childhood, supporting families through social services, providing rehabilitation, promoting inclusive education, and safeguarding children’s rights.
Following her visit to the exhibition, Leyla Aliyeva toured the Imam al-Bukhari Memorial Complex. She received an overview of the modern complex, which is dedicated to studying and promoting the scholarly heritage of Imam Muhammad ibn Ismail al-Bukhari, a renowned Islamic scholar known for his contributions to Hadith scholarship.
The complex, following extensive renovations, has become a significant center for spiritual enlightenment, education, and tourism. It now offers facilities to accommodate pilgrims and international tourists, providing an opportunity to explore Islam’s cultural and scientific heritage.
