Baku:President Ilham Aliyev expressed hope that Donald Trump’s efforts to secure lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia will be acknowledged in this year’s Nobel Peace Prize decision.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted Trump’s significant role in advancing peace in the region, particularly noting his involvement in the Washington Peace Summit held on August 8, 2025.
President Aliyev announced on his social media account that, at his initiative, Azerbaijan and Armenia have jointly nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his contributions to the peace process.
