Winter season will start in Azerbaijan tomorrow, APA reports citing Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory.
Tomorrow, the last season change event of the current year will happen, the winter season will start in Northern Hemisphere, as well as in Azerbaijan.
Winter season will enter the Northern Hemisphere on December 22, at 07:27. The axis of rotation of the Earth forms the largest angle with the direction of the Sun (The Sun is at its lowest point on the horizon (26°.2)). On that day the shortest day and the longest night are recorded. Tomorrow, the length of the day will be 9 hours 17 minutes 22 seconds, and the length of the night will be 14 hours 42 minutes 38 seconds.
It was noted that the winter season in Northern Hemisphere will last till March of next year. Spring will replace winter at 07:06 on March 20.
