Ukrainian Ambassador Observes Progress in Liberated Karabakh Territories


Karabakh: Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Yuriy Husyev, shared his observations on the developments in the liberated territories of Karabakh during a conversation with APA’s correspondent. Husyev emphasized the notable progress and ongoing projects in the region, highlighting its importance for transport corridors and green energy initiatives.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Ukraine is actively monitoring and drawing lessons from the reconstruction and development projects in Karabakh. Ambassador Husyev acknowledged Ukraine’s efforts in rebuilding areas liberated in the Kyiv region, with significant support from Azerbaijan. He expressed particular gratitude for Azerbaijan’s assistance in the restoration of Irpin, a city that experienced occupation in 2022. Husyev revealed plans for launching new social projects in Irpin in collaboration with Azerbaijan in the near future.



The ambassador also emphasized the strengthening relations between Ukraine and Azerbaijan, which have reached a new milestone. He credited President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s historic visit to Azerbaijan as a catalyst for enhanced cooperation between the two nations. During this visit, six bilateral agreements were signed, and both countries received directives from their leaders to deepen ties and pursue joint projects.
