WHO Director-General Commends Azerbaijan-Armenia Peace Agreement


Baku: Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, has penned a letter to Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, recognizing the recent peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This development was reported by the Azeri-Press News Agency.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Ghebreyesus extended his congratulations to President Aliyev, highlighting the courage shown by both nations in prioritizing peace. The letter emphasized the importance of this agreement as a significant step towards normalizing relations and fostering regional stability. Ghebreyesus noted that this commitment to dialogue and diplomacy is a testament to President Aliyev’s leadership, offering hope to the citizens of both countries.



The Director-General also underscored the potential for enhanced cooperation between Azerbaijan and Armenia, particularly in addressing health issues that affect both nations.
