UNESCO club to be created at International Horse Breeding Academy in Turkmenistan

The creation of a UNESCO club at the International Horse Breeding Academy named after Aba Annaev under the name “Ahal-Teke Horses – Ambassadors of Peace” was included in the agenda of the next meeting of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, which was held on Saturday under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, Orient reported. It was noted at the meeting that the creation of such a club would be a logical continuation of our country’s cooperation with UNESCO to include the national nomination “Akhal-Teke horse breeding and traditions of horse decoration” into the UNESCO representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of mankind. Also, reports were heard on future plans in the context of the accession of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan to the UNESCO Global Youth Community, there were identified tasks to enhance cooperation with this community, including within the framework of the “Strategy for International Cooperation of Youth of Turkmenistan for 2023-2030”, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country reports. The meeting was attended by members of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads and representatives of a number of ministries, departments of the country, public organizations and the executive secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO.
