Beylik: Another resettlement caravan has successfully made its journey to the village of Beylik in Azerbaijan’s Lachin district. This significant movement was reported by APA, as 38 families, comprising 153 individuals, have been relocated to their native land.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, representatives from the Special Representative Office of the President of Azerbaijan in the Lachin district and the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons welcomed the resettled families. They extended their congratulations to these families as they settled into their new homes. The initiative is part of a broader effort to repopulate areas within the Karabakh and East Zangezur regions, which currently host over 43,000 residents. This population includes former internally displaced persons (IDPs), project workers, and employees of regional state institutions and various revitalized facilities.
The families relocated to Beylik village come from diverse regions across Azerbaijan. Specifically, the relocation includes 1 family from Baku city, 13 families from Agjabedi district, 13 families from Barda district, 4 families from Sumgayit city, 2 families from Ismayilli district, 2 families from Absheron district, 2 families from Imishli district, and 1 family from Beylagan district. This movement marks the continuation of Azerbaijan’s efforts to resettle IDPs, with a total of 89 families, equating to 363 individuals, having been moved to Beylik village as of May 31, 2025.
