Ankara: In recent days, certain media outlets and social media platforms in Trkiye have been regularly spreading disinformation about Azerbaijan. A source within the Turkish government told APA’s local bureau that the issue is being investigated by Trkiye’s official authorities.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, investigations and analyses are already being conducted on this matter. Consultations have also been held with the Azerbaijani side. The source noted that the spread of such news is minor nuances that cannot harm the brotherly relations between Trkiye and Azerbaijan.
Some Turkish media outlets have recently been regularly publishing disinformation about Azerbaijan, with these reports later discussed within the Turkish segment of social media. Alptekin Cihangir Isbilir, Press Advisor of the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan, stated that they are working to develop the Trkiye-Azerbaijan Media Platform and to ensure more active involvement in ongoing processes.
‘We will fight against internal and external forces trying to undermine Trkiye-Azerbaijan relations. Mutual dialogue must be maintained, and those forces must be countered. We must become even more closely united. We will leave no gaps for anyone to come between us. Some fall into the traps set by internal and external forces trying to damage Azerbaijan-Trkiye relations. But we must unite more strongly against this,’ emphasized Alptekin Cihangir Isbilir.
