Accra:The cryptocurrency market has seen a decrease in the value of some major digital assets over the past 24 hours, with Bitcoin’s price falling below $82,000.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, Bitcoin’s price dropped by 0.59% to $81,998.89 within the last day. Despite this decline, Bitcoin has seen a 1.98% increase over the past 30 days, although it has decreased by 1.63% in the past week.
Other cryptocurrencies have also experienced declines. Ethereum’s price fell by 0.53% to $2,408.50, Zcash decreased by 2.14% to $1,145.31, and Bittensor dropped by 1.56% to $267.57. Solana also saw a minor decline of 0.05% to $105.09.
In contrast, some altcoins have recorded gains. BNB rose by 0.54% to $729.63, Monero increased by 1.07% to $601.63, and Bitcoin Cash went up by 0.79% to $279.35. Gold-backed cryptocurrencies like Tether Gold (XAUT) and PAX Gold (PAXG) also fell, with XAUT down by 0.61% to $4,139.71 and PAXG by 0.63% to $4,139.39.
The overall CoinMarketCap 20 index declined by 0.47% to 166.15 points in the past 24 hours. Bitcoin’s market capitalization is currently at $1.65 trillion. Analysts attribute the market’s weak performance to investors’ cautious approach towards risky assets and profit-taking after previous gains. However, the increases in BNB, Monero, and Bitcoin Cash suggest that not all cryptocurrencies are facing the same selling pressure.
