Baku: The opening ceremony of the 11th Baku International Book Fair was held at the Baku Expo Center, APA reports. Organized by the Ministry of Culture, the fair showcases a significant presence with 123 local Azerbaijani companies and 68 foreign companies from 23 countries.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event includes major book markets such as Trkiye and Russia among the participating countries. The fair is set to host more than 250 events, featuring world-renowned writers and scholars. Meetings with both young and established authors are scheduled, alongside events dedicated to the works of prominent writers. The State of Qatar is honored as this year’s guest of honor.
The fair will run until October 7, providing a platform for cultural exchange and literary discussions.
