The remains of the last 46-th miner were found in the Kostenko mine in Karaganda region, Minister of Emergency Situations Syrym Sharipkhanov said at the government meeting on Tuesday, Tengrinews.kz reported. “The bodies of 45 miners and remains of presumably 46th miner were found during the search works. Identities of 40 dead were identified. 6 remain unidentified. Necessary examinations are made for identification of miners. DNA testing is required,” the Minister said. The explosion occured in the Kostenko coal mine in Karaganda region on October 28. The nation-wide mourning day was declared in Kazakhstan on October 29.
