Lokbatan: A mud eruption has been recorded at the Lokbatan mud volcano, the Republican Seismological Service Center under the Ministry of Science and Education told APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the center’s seismic monitoring network for mud volcanoes recorded a new eruption of the Lokbatan Mud Volcano on April 9, 2025, at 04:04 local time. It was noted that the eruption was registered in three phases at different times. The first phase occurred at 04:04 local time, the second phase at 05:20, and the third phase at 05:31.
The eruption lasted for 3 minutes, with a depth of 4 km.
