The first FIDE World Schools Team Championship among school students was held in Aktau, Kazakhstan, from August 3 to August 8. More than 50 teams took part in this championship. The Mongolian team was coached by Galmandakh Badrakh. Danzanzhunai Ganbat won the bronze medal on the fourth board. According to the overall result, the Mongolian team took 10th place. The teams competed in two age categories: U12 and U18.
