Military Lyceum’s 21st Anniversary Celebrated with Solemn Event in Azerbaijan

Baku: A solemn event commemorating the 21st anniversary of the Military Lyceum named after Heydar Aliyev was conducted at the Training and Educational Center of the Combined Arms Army. The occasion was attended by representatives of the Combined Arms Army, public figures, military personnel, and guests, as reported by APA citing Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event began with a moment of silence honoring the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Shehids, who laid down their lives for the independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of the Motherland. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was subsequently performed.

Colonel Rashad Asgarov, Acting Chief of the Military Lyceum, welcomed the attendees and congratulated them on the lyceum’s establishment day. He also conveyed the congratulations of the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, to the military personnel.

Major General Kanan Seyidov, Commander of the Combined Arms Army, congratulated the staff on this notable day and expressed wishes for their continued success. He emphasized the lyceum’s significant role in training national professional servicemen and its influence on the military profession’s prestige in society. The commander advised cadets to remain loyal to the Motherland, state, and the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, urging them to serve diligently, enhance their personal skills, and adhere to the command staff’s orders.

Speakers at the event discussed the Military Lyceum’s establishment and development, the successful combat operations for territorial integrity restoration led by the Azerbaijan Army, and the heroism of servicemen who graduated from the lyceum. A video showcasing the educational, training, and living conditions at the military educational institution was also presented. Creative teams performed national dances and patriotic songs.

The event concluded with awards presented to distinguished servicemen and civil workers.
