Total investments in oil and gas production in Azerbaijan in 2022 amounted to 4 billion 518 million 146.5 thousand manats ($2.657 billion), which is 4.4% lower than in 2021. According to the report of the State Committee on Statistics of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the public sector accounted for 503 million 887.2 thousand manats in the structure of investments, the private sector accounted for 4 billion 14 million 259.3 thousand manats. The share of foreign investments in oil and gas production of Azerbaijan in 2022 accounted for 2 billion 827.236 million (a decline of 8.3%), domestic – 1 billion 690.91 million manats (an increase of 2.7%), The share of investments in oil and gas production amounted to 63% of all investments in the industry sector as a whole and 90.7% of all investments in the extractive industry during this period. In the sphere of oil products production in Azerbaijan in 2022, investments in fixed assets amounted to 557 million 111.5 thousand manats (a decline of 48.5% compared to 2021). At the same time, the share of investments at the expense of the public sector accounted for 556 million 969.5 thousand manats (a decline of 48.5%), the private sector – 142 thousand manats (a decline of 42.2%). In general, in 2022, total investments in the oil and gas sector of Azerbaijan in 2022 amounted to 5 billion 464 million 883.7 manats ($3.2), which is 6% lower than in 2021
