Gulbara Turganbaeva, a resident of Min-Bulak village in Naryn district, is engaged in production of sour cream, melted butter, and other dairy products at her home.
According to Gulbara, the number of her customers has been steadily increasing.
“I started processing milk last year, and initially, I had only a few customers. However, as time passed, more people became interested in my products because they are known for being environmentally friendly,” she shares.
Not only local residents but also people from Bishkek city buy her products.
“In the beginning, we owned a cow, but I realized that it was more convenient to purchase milk from others. During the summer, cows need to graze in pastures, and during the winter, we have to provide them with hay. I buy milk at a price of 26 KGS per liter,” Turganbaeva explained.
Gulbara further revealed that she processes around 60 to 100 liters of milk. “To aid in the milk processing, I have invested in machines. Initially, I purchased an electronic separator in Bishkek for 17,000 soms, and it has proven to be a useful investment. Although I haven’t made significant profits from this business, I have managed to purchase a refrigerator, other household appliances, and cover various daily expenses,” she added.
