Antalya: Azerbaijan’s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, accompanied by her daughter Leyla Aliyeva, participated in a panel session at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, held in Antalya, Turkey. The session, titled ‘Building the Future in a Fragmented World: Transformative Power of Education,’ focused on the pivotal role of education in shaping the future.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, prior to the session, attendees visited the African Culture House stand. Established in 2016 through the initiative of Turkey’s First Lady Emine Erdogan, the African Culture House is dedicated to promoting the handicrafts of African women, transforming their labor into economic value, and fostering cultural solidarity.
The event was supported by the Turkish Maarif Foundation and commenced with a video presentation that showcased the Foundation’s global educational initiatives. The presentation highlighted that nearly 70,000 students are enrolled in the Foundation’s schools across 55 countries, demonstrating its significant reach and impact.
Panelists at the session discussed the critical importance of educational development in today’s world. Turkey’s First Lady Emine Erdogan delivered a speech, underscoring the increased significance of education amidst rising global conflicts. She emphasized that education is crucial for fostering social inclusion and achieving sustainable development.
The session also featured a performance by students from the Turkish Maarif Foundation school in C´te d’Ivoire, who sang songs in various languages, adding a cultural dimension to the event’s discussions.
