Azerbaijan’s ANAMA Discovers 120 Landmines, 870 UXOs in Liberated Territories


Baku: Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has announced weekly information regarding operations conducted in the liberated territories. ANAMA told APA that from March 31 to April 6, 2025, significant progress was made in clearing these areas of landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXOs).



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, ANAMA discovered 107 anti-personnel mines, 13 anti-tank mines, and 870 UXOs across several regions. The affected areas include Tartar, Aghdam, Aghdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Khojaly, Khankandi, Kalbajar, Khojavand, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan.



In total, 2009.1 hectares of land were cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance. This effort is part of ongoing operations to ensure the safety and security of the liberated territories.
