Today, the draft law ‘On approving ‘Additional Protocol to the Council of Europe Convention on the Prevention of Terrorism’ was discussed in today’s meeting of Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), APA reports.
According to the document, Azerbaijan designates the State Security Service as a contact point operating 24-hour, 7-day-a-week for exchanging information on persons traveling abroad for terrorism purposes.
The provisions of this Additional Protocol will not be applied by Azerbaijan related to Armenia until the outcomes are eliminated and relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan are normalized. The draft law was put into a vote and approved in the first reading after the discussions.
