Baku: On May 4, President Ilham Aliyev signed an order awarding Azerbaijani carpet weavers with the ‘Taraggi’ (Progress) medal.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, 18 individuals were awarded the ‘Taraggi’ medal for their fruitful contributions to the development of the art of carpet weaving in Azerbaijan.
The ‘Taraggi’ medal is a recognition of the significant efforts and dedication these individuals have shown in preserving and promoting the traditional craft of carpet weaving, which holds cultural importance in Azerbaijan.
