‘Mystique of Azerbaijani Carpets’ Exhibition Opens in Vinnytsia


Vinnytsia: An exhibition titled “Mystique of Azerbaijani Carpets” from the personal collection of Seymur Abushov opened at the Regional Museum of Local History in Vinnytsia, Ukraine. Addressing the opening ceremony, Seymur Abushov said that 30 antique carpets of the late 19th and early 20th centuries are displayed at the exhibition, which represent Azerbaijan’s leading carpet weaving schools. He said this is the largest collection of antique Azerbaijani carpets in Ukraine, with some exhibits over 100 years old.



According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Ruslan Palamarovskyi, Director of Vinnytsia Regional Art Museum, Rovshan Taghiyev, head of the United Ukrainian Azerbaijanis Congress (UUAC), and Liliya Goncharuk, Head of the Department of Humanitarian Policy, noted that the exhibition serves as a cultural bridge between Azerbaijan and Ukraine. The exhibition will run until the end of May.



The opening of the exhibition is also scheduled in other cities of Ukraine.
