Azerbaijan to Require Customs Value Declaration in National Currency


Baku: The customs value of goods in Azerbaijan will now be required to be declared in the national currency, as reported by APA. This change is part of a newly proposed article in the Customs Code, Article 220.3, which was discussed at the recent meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the draft legislation stipulates that the customs value of goods will be declared in the national currency of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This move is aimed at standardizing the customs processes within the country.
