Baku: A fixed monthly tariff will be applied to electricity in Azerbaijan, APA reports. This change is a result of an amendment to the Law “On Electric Power,” which has been approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the new law introduces a fixed tariff as a monthly element that is applied to each consumer. This tariff is designed to cover part of the fixed costs determined by the regulator, which are not dependent on the level of electricity consumption.
