Azerbaijan State Security Service Uncovers Exam Fraud Network


Baku: Azerbaijan’s State Security Service has successfully detained the organizers of a network involved in technical fraud during university admission exams. The operation, which targeted individuals who provided applicants with concealed technical equipment, was carried out after the State Examination Center filed a complaint.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, those involved offered a suite of tools including micro-earphones, micro-cameras, mini-phones, wires, and Mi-Fi routers to help applicants secure positive results. The State Security Service’s intervention led to the identification and detention of the individuals responsible, and a criminal case has been initiated.



Osman Gunduz, President of the Azerbaijan Internet Forum, shared information related to the case on his social media account, highlighting the consequences of the fraudulent activities. As a result of the investigation, the exam results of some applicants have been canceled, ensuring the integrity of the admission process.
