Baku: Azerbaijan’s social protection and social security expenditures are set to exceed AZN 5 billion next year. Next year’s projected expenditures on social protection and social security have been announced, this is reflected in the expenditure indicators at the level of functional classification in the draft state budget for 2026 and the following three years, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, in 2026, AZN 5,105,971.8 thousand are projected to be allocated for this sector. This is AZN 354,241 thousand or 7.4% more than the planned expenditures for 2025. In 2025, AZN 4,751,730.8 thousand are expected to be allocated for social protection and social security.
The expenditures in this area are projected to amount to AZN 5,389,226.9 thousand in 2027, AZN 5,871,740.5 thousand in 2028, and AZN 6,180,879.3 thousand in 2029.
