Guba:The government of Azerbaijan has announced the renaming of two municipalities in the Guba region and the respective settlements they encompass.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, this change is part of the law “On Amendments to the Appendix to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan ‘On Municipal Territories and Lands’ – ‘List of Municipalities in the Republic of Azerbaijan’,” which was approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
The Timiryazev-Alekseyevka municipality will now be known as Bahrali-Chinarli, and the Vladimirovka municipality will be renamed Elbir. The territorial units within these municipalities will also adopt new names. Bahrali-Chinarli municipality will include the villages of Bahrali, Chinarli, Igrig, Gajar Zeyid, and Zizik. Meanwhile, Elbir municipality will encompass the villages of Aghbil, Ashaghi Atuj, Dallakli, Elbir, Alibeygishlag, Mirzamammadkand, and Susaygishlag.
