About 2,500 books in the field of medicine, business, economics, literature, childhood were transferred to the administration of the capital’s governor to replenish the book fund of educational institutions and support education as part of the Books for Asia program.
The Asia Foundation has been implementing the Books for Asia program in Mongolia since 1994. The Foundation donates many types of books aimed at supporting the education of children and youth in the fields of medicine, business, finance and economics.
Resident Representative of the Asia Foundation Mark Koenig noted that last book party of the Books for Asia program will be transferred this year, marking the end of the program.
Head of the administration of the capital’s governor Baatarkhuu Ichinnorov expressed his gratitude to the colleagues of the Asia Foundation for the donation of books. He added that the books were donated to support the activities of the Central Public Library of Ulaanbaatar.
