Baku: Another 79 mines and 460 unexploded ordnance have been discovered in Azerbaijan’s recently liberated territories. Weekly information on operations carried out by organizations involved in mine clearance activities in these areas has been announced, ANAMA told APA.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the discoveries include 62 anti-personnel mines, 17 anti-tank mines, and 460 unexploded ordnance. These were found in multiple regions including Tartar, Aghdam, Aghdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Khojaly, Khankendi, Kalbajar, Khojavend, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan. Additionally, the liberated villages of Baganis Ayrim, Ashagi Eskipara, Xeyrimli, and Gizilhajili in the Gazakh region were also sites of these findings.
The operations have successfully cleared 1,455.4 hectares of land from mines and unexploded ordnance, marking significant progress in making these territories safer for resettlement and development activities.
