All doctors of children’s hospital No.3 who contracted coronavirus paid compensation

During a session of the Bishkek City Council on June 23, councilor Gulnaz Halilova asked whether all doctors at Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 3 had received compensation after contracting COVID-19.
According to Akylbek Mamanov, the chief physician of Bishkek Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 3, during a meeting of the Bishkek City Council’s permanent commission on social issues, it was confirmed that all individuals who had contracted COVID-19 received compensation.
“We had a total of five individuals who tested positive, and they each received a compensation of 200,000 soms. As for the others, they were on sick leave due to developing COVID-19 symptoms, but their diagnoses were not confirmed by the laboratory. However, the clinic treated them as COVID-19 cases. However, these doctors were not eligible for compensation. The number of affected staff members at our hospital was relatively low compared to other hospitals, as children were less affected by the virus,” he explained.
