Yekaterinburg: Ahliman Ganjiyev, detained in Yekaterinburg on June 27, was reportedly subjected to severe physical abuse, including beatings with a truncheon and torture with electric shocks, as reported by his advocate, Ilkin Amirov. The alarming claims have sparked concerns about the treatment of detainees and the methods used during interrogations.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Amirov detailed the harsh treatment his client endured, highlighting that Ganjiyev was not only tortured with electric shocks but also beaten with a heavy object. These allegations have raised serious questions about the conduct of the authorities involved in Ganjiyev’s detention.
The advocate further disclosed that Ganjiyev had to be hospitalized due to the severity of the injuries sustained from the alleged torture. Amirov firmly stated his belief in Ganjiyev’s innocence, insisting that his client had no involvement in the crime he was accused of. Despite the torture, Ganjiyev has not confessed to the alleged crime and remains steadfast in his claims of innocence.
