6,654 people signed up for IT courses

6,654 people have signed up for free courses “4IR Academy” on 4IR technologies, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, data analytics, blockchain and cloud technologies, programming languages, etc. between 23 August and 7 September. This was announced at a press conference held the day before at the Centre for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR Azerbaijan) under the Ministry of Economy. The project allows 10,000 people wishing to improve their knowledge and skills in the field of Technology 4.0, with English as the language of instruction, to attend more than 700 courses provided by the American company “Coursera”. According to Chad Pasha, head of the Asia-Pacific public sector of “Coursera”, 125.000 users from Azerbaijan are currently registered and studying on the “Coursera online platform”. The Education Development Fund under the Ministry of Science and Education told Turan that the launch of the courses will be announced additionally. Note that the aim of the project is to develop knowledge and skills in the field of technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Azerbaijan and support the training of qualified personnel in this field on the labour market
