Algiers: The 19th Global Islamic Finance Forum, centered on “Digital Transformation and Access to Finance in Islamic Finance,” took place during the annual meeting of Islamic Development Bank member countries, as reported by APA’s correspondent in Algeria.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the forum featured panels discussing the integration of digital Islamic finance with postal services and exploring the potential use of sukuk, or Islamic bonds, for sustainable development. These discussions aimed to address how digital advancements can enhance financial accessibility within the realm of Islamic finance.
During the event, the Islamic Development Bank unveiled its publication, “The Future of Islamic Finance in Central Asia.” This journal, accessible in both traditional and electronic formats, delves into topics such as the application of Islamic finance in addressing global economic challenges, tools for Islamic microfinance, the obstacles encountered by Islamic banking, and potential strategies for overcoming them.
