Vucic: This Year Worse Than Last, Next Year Will Be Worse Than This Year

Davos: ‘This year is worse than last year, and next year will be worse than this year,” Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in his speech at a panel discussion on ‘Defining the Economic Identity of Eurasia’ held within the framework of the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, APA’s correspondent sent to Davos reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Vucic stated that last year was the worst since World War II, with numerous wars erupting in various regions. He emphasized that the current year has deteriorated beyond last year’s conditions, and he foresees an even more challenging year ahead. During his speech, Vucic highlighted the ongoing global discourse on peace, where nations accuse each other of failing to adhere to agreements and respect others, yet primarily focus on their national interests.

Vucic expressed concern about the lack of attention to multilateralism, citing it as a significant oversight that has led to the current global challenges. He conveyed a sense of pessimism regarding the ability to address these issues, noting that the world has entered a phase characterized by change and uncertainty. Vucic expressed doubts about the global community’s capacity to manage these challenges in the upcoming years.
