U.S. Expert Highlights Strategic Importance of TRIPP Project for Azerbaijan

Baku: The potential of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) holds significant promise for Azerbaijan and the broader South Caucasus region. This initiative aims to establish a strategic corridor connecting Central Asia and the Caspian region with Trkiye and eventually extending to the Mediterranean ports.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Ariel Cohen, an American expert, emphasized the strategic importance of this project during an interview with AZERTAC. Cohen noted that if peace is achieved in Iraq and Syria, the TRIPP project could further connect the Caucasus with the Middle East. This integration would create a continuous link with the Abram Accord countries and the C6 countries, strategically positioning Azerbaijan at the center of this emerging economic belt.

Cohen further elaborated that President Ilham Aliyev’s vision places Baku at the heart of this initiative, which he described as a “big, beautiful belt” with Azerbaijan playing a pivotal role. This development underscores the geopolitical significance of Azerbaijan as a central hub in bridging various regions and fostering international cooperation.
