Avaza: As part of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs), an “Azerbaijan National Day” will be celebrated in Turkmenistan’s Avaza National Tourist Zone. The event, running from August 4 to 8, aims to showcase Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage and modern creativity.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Ministry of Culture announced that a delegation led by Minister of Culture Adil Karimli, along with renowned Azerbaijani artists, has arrived in Avaza to prepare for the event. The Azerbaijani pavilion will feature national crafts, publications, souvenirs, and applied art.
Visitors will experience an open-air exhibition highlighting the artistry of carpet weaving, traditional costumes, kelaghayi, shabaka, and embroidery, complete with master classes. A culinary corner will offer a taste of traditional Azerbaijani cuisine.
Musical performances will showcase Azerbaijani national music, dance, and modern stage shows. The conference’s official opening on August 5 will include an international Gala concert. The main “Azerbaijan National Day” celebration will occur on August 6 with a music and dance program. The event will conclude on August 8 with a final Gala concert featuring famous Azerbaijani artists and performers.
