Baku: Trkiye’s central government budget ran a 186.3 billion lira ($5.45 billion) deficit in October, APA reports citing Turkish media. The latest figures reflect a significant increase from the previous month, where the deficit stood at 100.5 billion liras ($2.95 billion).
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Treasury and Finance Ministry’s report indicates that in October, budget revenues were recorded at 769.2 billion liras ($22.50 billion). In contrast, expenditures for the same period escalated to 955.5 billion liras ($27.95 billion).
The report further detailed that non-interest expenditures amounted to 819.3 billion liras ($23.9 billion), while interest payments were reported at 136.2 billion liras ($4 billion). Additionally, tax revenues for the month were noted to be 643.6 billion liras ($18.8 billion).
These figures underscore the fiscal challenges faced by Trkiye as it navigates its economic landscape.
