EU to Allocate 1.9 Billion Euros to Ukraine from Frozen Russian Assets in 2025.

Brussels: The European Union intends to provide Ukraine with a second tranche of 1.9 billion euros from the profits of frozen Russian assets in the spring of 2025, a high-ranking EU representative informed reporters in Brussels.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the EU is preparing the modalities for this allocation, with the funds scheduled to be disbursed in March or April of 2025. The forthcoming tranche is set to surpass the previous allocation, indicating the EU’s continued commitment to supporting Ukraine.

The EU representative also mentioned that the promise to supply Ukraine with 1 million shells is nearly fulfilled, with 98% of the deliveries already completed. This underlines the EU’s efforts to aid Ukraine amidst ongoing challenges.

Additionally, the EU has plans to train up to 75,000 Ukrainian soldiers by the end of winter. The training mission has already successfully trained 65,000 Ukrainian military personnel, with the target to reach the full number in the coming months, showcasing the
EU’s dedication to bolstering Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
