Train Departed From Baku to Aghdam Arrives in Destination After 32 Years


Baku: Today, the first passenger train on the Baku-Aghdam-Baku route, operated by Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY), departed from the capital and arrived in Aghdam, APA reports. The train was welcomed with great enthusiasm upon arrival at its destination.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, before the occupation period, passenger transportation from Baku to Aghdam was carried out via the Baku-Khankendi-Baku route using sleeper-type trains. The last time trains operated in the Baku-Aghdam-Baku direction was in 1993. At that time, the distance of 371 km to Aghdam was covered in eight and a half hours by train.
